The association between insulin resistance, sleep disorders, and inflammation in obese children

<b>Aim:</b> Both obesity and sleep disorders cause chronic subclinical inflammation. Inflammation is a significant factor in triggering insulin resistance. This study aimed to analyze the association between disorders, inflammation, resistance obese/overweight children.<br /> <b>Material methods:</b> In this cross‑sectional study, 150 overweight/obese children were included. Sleep disorder was measured by using Disturbance Scale for Children. The homeostasis model of assessment (HOMA‑IR) calculated according fasting glucose results. Logistic regression models Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficients used estimate associations parameters.<br <b>Results:</b> A statistically raising found C-reactive protein levels those with (p<0.05). However, no correlation HOMA-IR, protein, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio levels. On other hand, HOMA-IR weak positively correlated (r=0.222, p=0.006), CRP (r=0.390, p<0.001).<br <b>Conclusion:</b> Although we did not detect levels, revealed that had higher than without.
